Let's dive into a recent highlight from my portfolio, marking a refreshing return to sharing wedding stories on my newly revamped website. Luisa & Jack’s wedding at Furtho Manor Farm in Buckinghamshire stands out for its seamless blend of elegance and personal touches.
Their ceremony took place at St Mary and St Giles in Stony Stratford, a venue so close to their home, the church spire is practically part of the view from their kitchen. Unlike many churches that pose a challenge with their dim interiors, this one was a photographer's dream, boasting stunning architecture and abundant natural light.
Among the day's captures, one image particularly resonates: Luisa, adorned in a Hermione De Paula dress, making her way to the church with her father. This moment, coupled with Jack’s choice of a striking blue Paul Smith suit for their vow exchange, perfectly encapsulated the day's style.
Post-ceremony, the celebration shifted to Furtho Manor Farm, where a tipi setup awaited the guests. The attention to detail in decorating the tipi showcased not only the couple's vision but also the collective effort of many hands, creating an inviting and personal reception space.
A memorable highlight was a poem reading by Jack’s uncle, a poet laureate, crafted especially for the couple—a thoughtful gesture that added depth to the festivities (the poem is shared at the end of this post for those interested).
As the evening progressed, the Midnight Jams took the stage, with a special appearance by Jack, a professional drummer, for a few songs. This led to an energetic dance floor, alive with guests celebrating well into the night.
For anyone moved by the story of Luisa & Jack's day at Furtho Manor Farm, I welcome your thoughts and comments. And if you're drawn to tales of love and celebration, be sure to explore more, like Becky & Jack's North Cadbury Court Wedding or Alice & Ben's wedding at Wick Bottom Barn in Wiltshire.
