DESTINATION / ITALY
Oh Italy, probably one of the most perfect places in the world for a destination wedding!
MY TOP 4 LOCATIONS FOR
WEDDINGS IN italy
Tuscany
Ahhh Tuscany, with its rolling hills, dramatic countryside, and endearing villages, is a true utopia for couples looking for sun-rich destination weddings so no surprise that many couples choose to tie the knot in this idyllic region of Italy. There are also so my fantastic cities in Tuscany from Pisa, Siena & San Gimignano but one of my favourite cities has to be Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. From the grand architecture to the world-renowned art, it's a place that will leave a lasting impression on all who visit. It's a city where the past and the present coexist, making it an unforgettable destination for weddings in Italy.
Almafi Coast
The Amalfi Coast, a stretch of rugged coastline in southern Italy, is a place of natural beauty and coastal allure. From the charming villages of Positano and Ravello to the vibrant town of Amalfi, it's a place that will leave a lasting impression on all who visit but especially for you and your guests travelling to the wedding. The coastal views, the delicious seafood and the beautiful gardens are a true delight for the senses. It's a place where one can truly relax, unwind and let the beauty of lush green hills and sparkling blue waters envelop them. I'm planning a holiday back as soon as possible.
Rome
Rome is a city that has stood the test of time and has a lot to offer for couples looking for a slice of history in their destination weddings. It is often referred to as the "Eternal City" because of its ancient ruins and monuments that date back to the Roman Empire, such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Roman Forum. These ancient landmarks are a testament to the grandeur and engineering prowess of the Roman civilization. The city also offers a vibrant nightlife, delicious cuisine, and some of the tastiest ice cream in the world. To be honest, it's got my attention just with that, I can't wait to go back!
Puglia
Puglia, a region in the heel of Italy's boot, is a place of rustic charm and natural beauty and one of the best places in Italy to get married. Known for its olive oil, seafood, and traditional dishes like orecchiette pasta and panzerotti it will make all your wedding guests happy with full bellies. The region is also home to many historical and cultural sites, including the ancient city of Ostuni, the Baroque city of Lecce, and the Castel del Monte. Its charming trulli, beautiful beaches, and delicious cuisine make it a must-see destination for anyone looking to experience the best of what Italy has to offer.
Faq / ITALY DESTINATION wedding
How long will you be in Italy for our wedding?
I usually fly in two days before Italian weddings. This gives me time to get over and get settled, explore the area a bit, and scout out some amazing spots for photos. Italy's got so much beauty - I love finding those hidden gems that'll make your photos really special. I typically head home the day after the wedding, once all the confetti's settled!
Are there extra costs for shooting a wedding in Italy?
Yeah, there are some additional costs, but I try to keep it straightforward. For my top package with two photographers, it's a flat £900 extra to cover flights, hotels, getting around, and all that jazz. If you go for my popular package, it's £650 on top. These prices are for Italy specifically - if you're thinking somewhere else in Europe or further afield, just give me a shout and we can chat about it.
How do we book you for our Italian wedding?
First thing's first - drop me a line to check if I'm free on your date. If I am, great! To lock it in, you'll need to pay a 20% deposit (non-refundable, I'm afraid - it's to make sure I don't book anyone else for your day) and sign a simple online contract. I'll need the travel expenses paid about six months before the big day so I can sort out flights and stuff. Then the rest is due a month before you say "I do" in beautiful Italia!
Why pick you instead of an Italian photographer?
Good question! Look, there are some brilliant photographers in Italy, no doubt. But here's the thing - I bring a different eye to it. I've shot weddings all over, so I know how to blend that classic Italian romance with a style that'll look amazing wherever you show off your photos. Plus, if you've seen my work and love it, you know exactly what you're getting. That said, have a look at local photographers too. It's your day, and you need to go with whoever gets your vision, whether that's me or someone based in Italy.
