An Elegant Black Tie Brympton House Wedding

I am so happy to share Helena & Josh's Brympton House Wedding in Somerset with you! It was supposed to rain all day and in the end, it turned out to be the most gorgeous summer day one could hope for. For a stylish and epic wedding, Brympton House (Brympton d'Evercy being its original name I think) is one of the finest venues in the south of England. Helena & Josh definitely ticked all the boxes with a black tie wedding combining so well with the incredibly elegant venue.

I've photographed a few weddings at Brympton House in Somerset over the years and have always felt it was a nearly flawless wedding venue, but the only thing that it was lacking was an ideal getting-ready room for the bride & bridesmaids. Not anymore! They have beautifully renovated one of the rooms with massive open shutter windows flooding the room with light, perfect for photography and for everyone to enjoy in the morning.

In terms of the rest of the venue, it has it all! Beautiful backdrops from the lake with the house as a perfect setting, the rustic candle lit chapel for intimate ceremonies, roses and other foliage climbing up the walls of the house (a perfect place to have the couple for portraits) and finally the South terrace which is magnificent to enjoy a glass of champagne and canepes at your drinks reception.

When you move into the grade listed manor house you're greeted by a large open entrance way that leads to the great hall. This is an excellent place to greet your friends and family and cut the wedding cake. You can have a stunning wedding breakfast in the spacious ballroom with large windows allowing for plenty of natural light.

After the speeches and dinner your guests can take a leisurely walk up the drive (which is perfectly positioned for the setting sun by the way) up to the stables for the party to get started. Having this separate makes it feel like your wedding guests get to experience something new throughout the day
